A lot of talk is currently coming out on the war on terrorism.  We, as Evangelicals,  need to understand what this is all about.  Having worked among Muslims for nearly 43 years, I believe I understand the Islamic mindset, and how this affects us. 

Muslims, when they adhere to their worldview as expressed in the Koran, their holy book, insist that their religion is the only one favored by God.  Not only are they convinced of this, but, when pressed to express their goals, they will say this is so.  This puts them in sharp conflict with Evengelicals, as well as with the people of Israel, whose God is the God of the Bible.  This is one of the strongest reasons why Israel and Hezbollah, along with Hamas, are continually at war.  Each of them claims to be the possessor of truth, but their source is entirely different.

The reason why many Evangelicals are Republican is because of the party platform of this party which is strongly conxervative.   True, there are Democrats who espouse a conservative agenda, hoping to bring other Democrats back to their conservative viewpoint, but, as of now, this seems a lost cause.  

We need to be aware of what is happening as we see a growing face-off of freedom-loving peoples with those which are controlled by Islam governments.  Most of all we need to pray for each other in the light of terroristic activities which are increasingly putting us in danger.
